During the COVID-19 pandemic there wasn't a lot to do in my small studio apartment building, except stare out my one window and imagine the lives of the people living so close to me, but whom I'd never spoken to. Often I would meet the gaze of fellow lockdown comrades. What were they thinking? And what was their image of people on the other side?

During this time I interviewed several people from my own 22-story building, and the one across from it. Both high rise buildings were only build some ten years ago and already failing in daily use and lacking in social spaces.

Combining the eerie architectural choices and the lonely and curious voices of the inhabitants, this project became a work about finding connections in a time and place that worked against it.
